News: Can of Coke has a smaller carbon footprint than an Innocent smoothie

Today Coca-Cola produces its carbon footprint with a regular can containing 170g of CO2e, compared with 206g for an Innocent smoothie. A Can of coke is mostly water, whereas an Innocent smoothie is all crushed fruit. Not quite like for like is it, but that’s marketing for you.

    I posted about this on my blog here . Is it really any surprise that they have high carbon footprints? They use machines to crush the fruits which they import from all over the world. And their bottles are plastic?!
